The art of damascening is handcrafted at the highest level and is thousands of years old. The new Special Edition Toledo M910 White celebrates this special craftsmanship. The biggest highlight of this edition is the decorative sleeve. Several elaborate steps are required to refine the detailed pelican motif on the barrel. The special pelican motif is refined by hand by a goldsmith. The surrounding 925 sterling silver barrel features two pelican motifs: a small pelican standing in front of a pelican with outstretched wings and a pelican with an open beak. Both designs are framed by ornaments. During the manufacturing process, the design is etched onto the sleeve and then the filigree details are hand stitched. Finally, the surface of the barrel is coated with palladium. The fountain pen has an 18-carat/750 completely rhodinized gold nib. Each Toledo pen is unique and handcrafted in Germany.
